Daniella & Ray

Villa De Andalucia - Private Estate
October 17, 2009

The Connect: The couple met on several occasions with friends out in San Diego, but it wasn’t until a game night with mojitos that the two finally exchanged numbers and began dating.

The Proposal: Having summers off as a teacher, they decided to look at some wedding venues. Daniella was waiting for the proposal any day. They found a beautiful venue, signed the paperwork, and Ray decided it was the perfect opportunity to ask her to marry him. She of course said “Yes!”

The Celebration: Although several things happened while planning their day, including their original venue being closed down by the city due to permitting issues, they found an even more perfect venue for their 115 person wedding. The Mediterranean Estate flowered with romantic elements as their guests entered through columns, statues, hand painted Italian tiles, veined white marbled floors and beautiful paths of rose petals to the ceremony where the couple said their vows under the stars and a handmade chuppah. The couple added special touches like a Flamenco guitarist, an aromatic hookah bar, sweet treats candy buffet and custom designed cookies that matched their invitations. The couple was happy with how beautifully everything turned out.

Daniella’s Advice: “Don’t assume that everyone understands what you are thinking when it comes to your wedding. Spell it out, draw pictures, make a model so you are clear and understand each other. Also, make sure private properties have permits for events.”
