The Connect: At a concert venue in San Diego through a college roommate who happened to be in grad school with Chris.
The Proposal: Asia had moved to San Diego just days before for her residency training was to begin. She and Chris had a new apartment together and he had taken the day off to bake cookies and their favorite dinner. After dinner, he asked her to dance in their box filled apartment, as one of their favorite songs played, he dropped to one knee and proposed.
The Celebration: Looking to design a wedding that fit their personalities, they chose to have a California Style 50’s retro wedding with a modern twist. The event was truly a “family affair” having all the guests included in the many weekend events and also involved in the wedding itself. Since the couple is passionate about cooking, the reception tables were decorated with herb and spice centerpieces, cork place card holders and BBQ rub favors. They had a beautiful wedding for 55 people that was a great reflection of their personalities.
Asia’s Advice:
“If you can afford it in your budget, hire a planner for at least the week of or day of so that you can relax at your wedding. It was well worth it!”
