The Connect: These two college classmates met in Spanish class and found the true meaning of “Amour.” Soon after, Eric got the courage up to ask Amanda for
a date.
The Proposal: A year and a half of dating had gone by when Amanda was
visiting Eric in Malibu. Eric insisted on taking a walk on the beach when Amanda hesitantly agreed. While sitting on the sea wall Eric questioned when the day would come when Amanda would marry him as he hinted many times before. Amanda
respond with “when her three requirements are fulfilled.” At that moment Eric got off the seawall and delivered on her wishes; to ask her on one knee, a ring for her left hand and a “will you marry me.” Amanda said “YES” as Eric placed a beautiful asscher cut diamond on her left hand.
The Celebration: Their goal was to have a fun and elegant celebration. From the intimate ceremony shared with close friends and family to exchanging their vows and being presented as husband and wife. With great attention to the details they chose rich deep reds from the flowers, added to the interesting blue table linens along with feathers and crystals all highlighted the opulent Don Room at the Historical El Cortez. They enjoyed celebrating some of the Jewish traditions such as breaking the glass, even if it took Eric a few stomps.
Amanda’s Advice: “Stick to the few items that are most important to you, so you don’t get caught up in the little things. Most of all, don’t forget to eat. It’s your day to celebrate.”
