The Connect: Similar to Peter’s parents, the couple met on a plane in route to an international destination. When luck would have it, Jessica decided to move to an empty seat next to Peter who engaged in conversation the whole flight. They traveled throughout Mexico for three weeks together on a college experience trip and immediately knew there was a connection.

The Proposal: They began dating as soon as they returned to the states. They continued to celebrate their anniversary every month. Five years and three months later the surprise proposal happened. Peter jumped through hoops to keep it a surprise from Jessica and proposed to her at the Hotel Del. Ten of their friends, shortly after the proposal, joined them to continue and celebrate.

The Celebration: Since they both loved to travel, they incorporated this idea into their theme with passports as their invites. Many of their guests traveled to the wedding, making it more of a several day event. They took guest to a Padre’s game, a harbor cruise and of course a wonderful wedding. They both cherished the fact that many of their long time friends from grade school even joined them as they started the next stage of their lives together as husband and wife.

Jessica’s Advice: “Make a detailed list of all the pictures you want to take in advance. It’s easy to forget what shots you want on your wedding day.”
