Marianna & Essam
Photography By Studios of Joseph Guidi
Coronado Island Marriott September 20, 2008
The Connect: They grew up in the same neighborhood when Essam became best friends with Marianna’s brother (Marco). It wasn’t until their mid-twenties when the early childhood crush blossom into much more.
The Proposal: They had basically grown up together and so they knew each
other very well. After being friends since 1987 and dating seriously for three years, Essam, did the old fashion and proper thing of asking Marianna’s parents for her hand in marriage. He planned a romantic dinner in Coronado along with a Gondola ride which included champagne and strawberries floating over the Coronado Kays. He popped the question and she said “Yes” of course. He then surprised her with a limo ride back to her parents house for a celebratory party with both families.
The Celebration: Both coming from large families, the wedding was a grand celebration, a long time in coming for the couple. Both the ceremony and wedding were held at the Coronado Island Marriott on a picturesque September afternoon. They chose shades of pinks, white, green and blacks as their colors to highlight their celebration of 315 guests. They had a large wedding party which truly made it a celebration to be remembered by all. Their favorite part of the day was being introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Essam Khouri, finally after all these years.
Marianna’s Advice: “Make your decisions on the many wedding aspects as a couple. Try to let go and enjoy the day. You will remember it for the rest of your lives!”
