Esther & Sam

Orfila Vineyards & Winery October 4, 2008
The Connect: They met in high school through mutual friends. They spent the
following eight years traveling up and down the I-5 freeway building their love.
The Proposal: A planned out guy at heart, Sam, planned to propose to Esther before the fireworks at Disneyland. Ester had her inner kid pulling wanting to hit one last ride in California Adventure. Sam quickly thought of “Plan B” and let her finish her ride. He then took her to the wishing well near Cinderella’s Castle, he whispered a few sweet words in her ear, then bent down on one knee and proposed. Ester accepted.
The Celebration: The couple chose Orfila Vineyard and Winery as the backdrop for their ceremony and reception. They got the good luck blessing of a few sprinkles and a rainbow that appeared as they finished their vows. The mixed in Korean traditions to accommodate their parents but tried hard to keep their own personal style. The celebration still felt like an intimate event despite a 200+ guest count. Their fall wedding incorporated oranges, creams and white florals with added candles to give a glowing feeling. Many of their details were personalized with special touches throughout the day.
Esther’s Advice: “Have Fun! Don’t let the little things ruin your day!”
