The Connect: The couple met at a backyard barbeque of one of their mutual friends. They got to know each other over the next eight years, playing tennis at Morgan Run Resort.

The Proposal: Kim and Terry were enjoying a beautiful sunset at Seagrove Park in Del Mar, with the sounds of a classical guitarist serenading the big moment. Terry told Kim that he wished to spend all the sunsets with her by his side. He continued to confess his love and told her he would love her forever and a day. He got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. Kim was in tears and gladly accepted.

The Celebration: Since much of the love was built at Morgan Run Resort, the couple found it fitting to host their wedding at the club as well. They loved the beauty and serenity the club offered their 130 guests, many traveling from all over the world to join them for their celebration. Guests arrived several days prior to the wedding and were able to get acquainted with one another and enjoy the accommodations that the property offers. Their picturesque sunset ceremony overlooked the golf course while hot air balloons sailed in the background. The reception was held on the patio as guests enjoyed tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and champagne flowing from a giraffe ice sculpture. The sculpture was a special touch to honor the memory of Kim’s mother and her favorite animal. The couple then escorted their guests into the elegantly decorated ballroom to enjoy incredible dining, dancing and great entertainment. At the end of evening several guests returned to the patio around the fire pit and reminisced about the memorable wedding week.
