Sara & Davis

The Connect: Sara and Davis met at a friend’s house while attending college at Texas Tech University. Their first date came a few weeks later where they talked all night and felt so comfortable with one another. They knew there was something between them.
The Proposal: The couple shares a passion for backpacking and traveling to different countries. The proposal came on the first day of a three week vacation to Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong. While walking through a park in Saigon they came across a picturesque bonsai tree. Davis quickly got them both ready to take a picture and ran in front of the camera, knelt down and proposed. Sara was shocked but excited and to his perfect timing, a great photo captured it all.
The Celebration: Since both Sara and Davis love the beach, they chose Torrey Pines State Park for their ceremony. They picked aqua and cherry red as their colors to accompany their travel themed reception hosted at The Museum of Contemporary Arts in La Jolla. Many of the guests were from out of town, so the couple invited them to a whole weekend of events.
Sara’s Advice: “Creativity doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.”
