Stephanie and Juergen's Wedding Day Information Page

We met at Hubbell and Hubbell Architecture Firm. I was often overwhelmed and Juergen always came to my rescue! I fell in love with him because he was so helpful and supportive. I also admired his talent and creativity coupled with his knowledge that makes him such a great architect and designer.

We would love to build our dream home as a representation of our work, blending landscape and architecture. What reality brings is another story!

We chose our wedding site because it is a blend of all the things we like. It is owned by a very nice couple, so we are supporting a small, local business. They have a few small gardens, a little nursery that sells herbs and perennials, a barn with a store that sells garden items, a homemade soap shop, small animals (rabbits, chickens and cats) meandering in the garden and a small petting zoo. They also have a coffee bar that serves warm and cool beverages. With a good majority of Juergen's family being in the landscape business and ofcourse, my career, we felt it was a good blend of both of our interests. Juergen always liked the idea of a reception in a barn because some of his family members are in the farming industry, so the barn is nostaligic.
We chose the reception location to be near the water as it feels very San Diego and is nearby where we live and spend most of our time. We love living near the bay and the ocean and want the guests to enjoy a little bit of what we enjoy everyday. A really great thing about the 'Sunset Room' is if June gloom holds off, we will have a nice sunset! You can see the bay and a sliver of the ocean from the room as it's on the second floor. We live in Pacific Beach. There are so many things to do here. In addition to being right by the beach and the Boardwalk, Pacific Beach is conveniently located in the heart of San Diego. We're only about 20 minutes from the airport, and just a couple of miles from Sea World, and thirteen miles from the world famous San Diego Zoo. Our reception is in Mission Beach, right next to Pacific Beach. We chose hotels nearby where we live and the reception. It's a great area! Since we are of the generation of couples who are getting married at an older age:), we have most of the trinkets a young couple might need. We both love to travel and decided a romantic and fun honeymoon would be the best gift people could give if they would like to give something. Please understand, your presence and making the effort and spending the time and money to come is a gift in itself! The wedding is a garden wedding, so women, you may want to be careful of wearing high heel shoes!
